You're Sweet

Good evening! I've been trying to go through some of my card kits I have from swaps and use them. I color images in while hanging with my hubby in the evenings, and then when I have a few minutes I can just put the card together.

This is one of those cards. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. This is the first time I have ever tried sewing on a card. I will definitely do it again, though!

I used the sketch from Papertake this week, and I also am entering this card in Crazy for Challenges (an inspiration picture).

Image is colored in with Copics and the heart is accented with burgundy Stickles. I also used a Cuttlebug embossing folder.
Thanks for stopping by!

Bubbles!

Hi! I'm back again. I took my outside to play earlier while my daughter was napping, and after 20 minutes he said, "Mom, can we go in? It's too hot out here!" Really? I was rather enjoying the sun, but oh well. So we headed in and came down to the play/craft room and I put this card together:)

I love these dragons by Lisa Victoria. Jenny has them in the Paper Jewels store. They are lots of fun to color. I wish you could see better in this picture, but there are lots of clear sparkly Stickles on the bubbles and the cloud.

I used the sketch from The Pink Elephant this week.

Paper is all SU. Image is Sweet Pea colored in with Copics and highlighted with Stickles. I used Nestabilities to cut out the circles and a Cuttlebug embossing folder (swirls) on the background. DP is a scrap from my stash. I used a sentiment from PTI stamped with silver pigment ink on the ribbon, and the corner punch I think was Fiskars.

Baby Blossoms

Good morning! I can't believe it's Monday already. We're having a slow start to the day here. I wanted to share this card with you I made the other day for a friend of mine who just had a baby girl. I dug through my card kit stash and found this cute little flower baby and loved the papers that were in there too:) I used SCS sketch 95, and colored her in with Copics.

Well, I guess I should really get moving. I have to recover the house - our AC went out on Friday night, and Saturday was a whopping 95 degrees, so nothing much got done around here. It's fixed now so no more excuses! Thanks for stopping by today!

Bookmarks

My fellow Crafty Critter Melanie hosted a bookmark swap on SCS, and these are the ones I made for my 2 spots. I had fun with these. I always enjoy making bookmarks, and read...well, used to read before little one #2.

For the first one, I used a Raisin Boat stamp, colored it in with SU watercolor pencils and blended with a blender pen. Paper is SU Certainly Celery and DCWV. I used Bella dots and Stickles to accent along with misc ribbon and large eyelet.

This second card I used a misc rubber stamp (sorry, don't know where it's from) embossed with white embossing powder. Not sure who the DP is from, but cardstock is SU black and Eggplant Envy. Ribbon and eyelet are misc, and the bling is Kaiser from the Paper Jewels store.

Sandcastle Dreams

Yes, I know! Two posts in one day. I got a small patch of crafty time today while my son played with his trucks and my daughter took a nap. I kept this one pretty simple, but I love the colors and the stamp makes me dream of the beach.

I am entering this card in several challenges.

Pretty in Pink

Good evening! Today didn't turn out to be a very productive day. I guess that will happen every now and again! But the kids are all in bed now, and my hubby and I are watching a rerun of Psych while I make this blog post.

I love this little dragon in pink. I used it back for Father's day, and it was a great dad card, but I really like it in pink too! I am running low on birthday cards, so I thought it fit pretty well for that occasion. It's Dragon Luck from Paper Jewels. Jenny is having a summer sale (15% off!), so be sure to stop by and check it out if you have time - she has a great selection of stamps and accessories in her store!

I am entering this card into a couple challenges.
Paper Sundaes - make your own flowers
Sweet Sketch Wednesday - the sketch

Supplies are image from Sweet Pea colored in with Copic markers and highlighted with Stickles and a white gel pen. Nestabilities for the larger circles and ovals, and punches for the small. Cuttlebug embossing folder, and misc brad and ribbon. Paper is all SU - DP, cardstock in Pumpkin Pie, Pretty in Pink and Pixie Pink.
Thanks for stopping by today and happy stamping!

Splash!

Good evening! It was another toasty day out there today. I love this weather, though. I'm sitting here with my husband freezing my rear off now in the air conditioning. Small price to pay though - I think I'll keep him;)

I fell in love with this little mouse from Kraftin' Kimmie's Stamps, and couldn't wait to put him on paper! He is such a fun summer stamp, don't you think?

I am entering him in two challenges this week:
Paper Sundaes - lots of layers
Corrosive Challenge Blog - the sketch

Supplies are image - Kraftin Kimmies colored in with Copics, and you can't see it in the picture, but his mask is highlighted with Crystal Effects. Paper is DP from DCWV, SU YoYo Yellow, Green Galore, Bliss Blue. I used Nestibilities and small oval punches. Yellow drops are Martha Stewart, and I also used a Cuttlebug embossing folder.
Thanks for stopping by and happy stamping!

One of my favorite challenge sites is having a DT call. Please be sure to check them out!

You have to pick 3 favorite creations to submit for the DT call - it was hard to pic three! Please scroll down for mine.

Sadly, the Sundae Girls will be saying good-bye to Carla and Jenny after spending six wonderful months together. We have enjoyed their creations, their support, and the lovely comments they have left for participants. Best Wishes to Carla and Jenny.

So, we have decided that it is finally time for us to make a design team call! We are looking for two to three new DT members. Interested? Well, here are the details...

- DT members are responsible for posting their creations by noon on Saturday (day before) on our private blog
- DT members are allowed to combine their DT card with other challenges
- Challenge details can be provided a month in advance - allowing you to create your card on your schedule
- DT members must comment on half of the entries posted (DT is split into two groups and each group is assigned certain numbers)
- DT term is August 1st to October 31st

We are looking for someone who wants to have fun! We are not concerned about number of followers but will be looking at how often you post and the quality of your creations. You do not have to have previous DT experience.

Play Ball!

Well, I promised I'd be back with some scrap pages, so here's one to share! My poor son has inherited both his father's and my athletic abilities, but he sure has fun trying!

Well, I'm off to clean up the kitchen and get ready for our cookout tonight. The dishes are calling...but so is the craft table. I guess dishes will win for now:)

Thanks for looking and happy stamping!

Splashy Hi

Hello again! I have another card to share with you today, but hopefully I will be back sharing some of the scrapbook pages I was able to put together earlier this week.

It's a late night tonight (I know, it's only 9:00, but my 5 year old is still up, and my husband just got done working (officially) for the night. We just got back from a family get together as my uncle and aunt are heading back to Georgia tomorrow (via Tennessee, but hey, close enough). So I thought I'd stop in and make a quick post while Daddy is reading to him. He's so into Henry Huggins this week.

I love this image and how it screams summer! She's from Tiddly Inks. I colored her in with Prismacolor pencils with OMS. I wish you could see her goggles better - they're filled in with Crystal Effects, but it was so sunny when I took this picture, and didn't realize it until much later when I uploaded it. Oh well, you get the idea:)

Well, I'm off to help with teeth brushing!
Have a great night and happy stamping!

Beachy Breezes

I so wish I was sending you this from the beach, but although it FEELS like we're at the beach with 93 degrees in the forecast today, I am still in Ohio. That's ok, though. Here's a little card I made to share with you that brings the beach to me!

What do you think about the embossed image? I saw Melina do this on her blog, and I just had to try it.

I used the sketch from Card Patterns.
I also entered this card in this week's the Pink Elephant challenge - 3 layers, 2 die cuts and a ribbon.

Supplies are image by SU colored in with watercolor pencils and blender pen. Cuttlebug embossing folder, nestabilities, Kaiser pearls (a great buy - you can find them in the Paper Jewels store!), PTI ribbon. Paper is SU Barely Banana, DCWV blue and DP is from the Mediterranean stack.

Thanks for looking and happy stamping!
